The renowned artist Nuwan Thenuwara, born, 27th of August 1963 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. started art initially as his childhood passion. He completed 4-year jewelry designing diploma approved under the Belgium government with flying colors. Then he was appointed as a lecturer for jewelry designing and paved way for many generations to step in and prevail in the field.
His art was not limited to the brush; his limitless conceptualization power and professional photography skills led him to the field of Advertising. He worked in many renowned Advertising agencies in both Sri Lanka and overseas, and gave revolutionary concepts enhanced with pure fine art that created a long lasting effect on people’s hearts. Even though he started as an artist his skills crowned him with the position of Creative Director, the Head of Creatives in Advertising and continues the same up to date.
Furthermore he has worked as an artist, an illustrator and art director in countries like Belgium, Singapore, Malaysia, Oman, and Saudi Arabia mesmerizing their natives with his perfect drawings and paintings.
Now he has opened his own art gallery and creates various possibilities for all art lovers to enjoy his creations. He also conducts seminars, workshops and exhibitions to reshape the future of Arts in Sri Lanka.
He stands as a both reputed and respected artist because of his massive contribution in unveiling extraordinary artistic masterpieces to the country.
